Illumination Works (ILW), a leader in digital transformation, advancing weapon system sustainment and acquisition through data, advanced automation, and modern software, is proud to announce the award of an Air Force Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) Sequential Phase II contract to enhance business transformation for product support management with our Odin Suite solution.
Odin performs intelligent data fusion and robust analytics for weapon system product support decision advantage. This Phase II Odin Suite effort will deliver a powerful, unified platform purpose-built to transform acquisition management by bringing everything that matters into a single, intelligent environment.
Driving Decision Advantage in AFLCMC/WVB Through Business Transformation
The Department of the Air Force (DAF) faces challenges managing the volume and complexity of documents and data required to support weapon system acquisition and product support activities, which are largely handled through manual, disconnected processes and workflows.
DAF’s AFLCMC/WVB Program Office seeks to infuse data-driven approaches within their product lifecycle management solution to manage the complexity, scale, and risk associated with technical data delivery, data rights verification, and program execution oversight.
Through this Sequential Phase II (SP2) SBIR, ILW will advance our Odin solution and integrate it with designated enterprise systems for a robust digital product support capability delivering process-accelerating tools that transform product support and acquisition management by intelligently integrating program data and generating reports and analytics that accelerate understanding and drive decision advantage.
I am thrilled that ILW was awarded this effort to further develop our Odin Suite capabilities for the Air Force. This exciting and innovative work will provide meaningful efficiency boosts and new capabilities for the AFLCMC/WVB Program Office. I am elated to contribute to such an important and iconic American platform.
From Proven to Operational: Advancing the Odin Suite to TRL 7
Through prior SBIRs, ILW matured Odin to Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 6. In this SP2 SBIR effort, ILW will further extend the Odin Suite to TRL 7, delivering a system prototype into the designated operational environment. Key activities include:
- Expand data delivery surveillance and acceptance automation for AFLCMC/WVB
- Enhance automated document generation
- Implement real-time metrics, analytics, and dashboarding for program performance
- Realize digital program workflows and asset tracking
- Implement advanced intuitive search and query capabilities
- Integrate and deploy within the operational ecosystem
I’m excited to work on this opportunity to help evolve Odin Suite from a proven capability into an operational, TRL 7 system. What’s especially compelling is the chance to replace fragmented, manual processes with intelligent, integrated workflows that not only reduce burden but actively surface risk, accelerate insight, and enable proactive program management. Being part of a team that is shaping how digital transformation can drive decision advantage in such a critical environment is both challenging and deeply rewarding.
Powering Smarter Oversight & Faster Execution
The Odin Suite is a transformative force multiplier that streamlines oversight, strengthens compliance, and accelerates execution across the product lifecycle. Odin integrates program data and applies advanced automation to:
- Automatically analyze deliverables
- Highlight risks
- Produce product support roadmaps and scorecards
- Evaluate sustainment readiness
- Enable asset tracking
- Support live document updates for real time status
- Produce decision-ready insights
Automation That Drives Mission Advantage
Odin’s automation and workflow management reduces administrative burden while enabling programs to transition from reactive oversight to proactive, data-driven management. The solution will advance the DAF’s digital product support while improving acquisition speed, transparency, and lifecycle readiness. The benefits of Odin include:
- Speeds product support insights
- Enhances lifecycle supportability
- Gains consistent program oversight
- Enables data-driven workflows
- Eliminates manual tracking
