Illumination Works is proud to announce the award of the second task order on our Air Force Phase III Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) Data Analytics as a Service (DAaaS) contract. Work performed on this Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) vehicle helps accelerate the DoD’s adoption of artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled technologies to transform sustainment, acquisition, operations, and other core functions.

Task Order 2: Legacy Modernization to Reduce Administration & Cost Burden

For this second task order, ILW will modernize the Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) legacy Positive Inventory Control (PIC) Fusion application with a native serverless and software as a service (SaaS) platform for data transformations, storage, and processing in Cloud One Azure. This effort aims to reduce the administrative and cost burden of maintaining end-to-end accountability of nuclear-weapons-related material (NWRM) assets. Learn more about the DAaaS IDIQ and Task Order 1.

Reshaping the Digital Landscape to Support the Mission

The Department of Defense (DoD) Data Strategy mandates all DoD component services be AI ready by 2025 and AI competitive by 2027. To meet these goals, the Department of Air Force (DAF) must transform the way they collect, process, and exploit data. Use cases worked under the DAaaS IDIQ provide end-to-end data excellence to optimize and balance data ingestion and integration of large data sets while accelerating the adoption of AI-enabled technologies to support all aspects of the DoD operational, command and control, security, and business domains to speed support to the warfighter.

Leveraging the DAaaS IDIQ for Data-Related Use Case Innovation

The DAaaS IDIQ vehicle can be leveraged to support all DoD data challenges and needs through task order-based functional use cases that assist with data research, development, advanced analytics, and implementation. Continuous evolution of a robust analytic ecosystem strengthens the use of data as an asset for mission excellence for the DAF and the DoD.

General Services Administration (GSA) Apex Innovation provides assisted acquisition services for the Air Force to award the SBIR Phase III. Contact Jan Turkelson, Illumination Works, Vice President Government Division, to learn how your organization can apply for a non-competitive task order for your data use case via the DAaaS IDIQ contract vehicle.
