Beavercreek, OH; March 2020 – Illumination Works (ILW) announces that it has been awarded an AFWERX Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) project to extend development on their codeless metadata-driven Data Framework, which greatly reduces the timeline for data acquisition, automates data governance processes, and ensures speed to analytics while remaining flexible, scalable, extendable, and customizable.
Initially developed in ILW’s Innovation Lab, this Data Framework has been available commercially for over two years and allows clients to leverage complex data sources, enables advanced analytics, and provides time and cost savings. Now proven, ILW is extending the innovation to Air Force Logistics, which can then be shared with other Air Force domains as well as the broader DoD.
The Air Force has the need to load data of varying formats faster to enable on-demand data science, advanced analytics, and decision making. Today’s information landscape contains a wide range of data sources and types that are vast and rapidly changing. The tsunami of data available for analysis and decision making requires an automated, flexible, scalable Data Framework to handle data movement, collection, and transformation needed to support advanced analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
Features and benefits include:
- Usable by non-developers with minimal database knowledge
- Automated and metadata driven to provide fast and flexible capability
- Extendable and scalable to support complex data sets and data governance
- Light weight and codeless with customizable end points
- Framework templates and repeatable processes
